Well, my Christmas Break was very uneventful. Some people call what I did a stay-cation. I called it boring. Usually my family goes somewhere tropical like Hawaii during this time. This year we did not. We stayed home.
The first week I spent playing video games and playing guitar. Then the next week was family and friends time. I bowled more that week than I had in the last two years. For some reason that was the main activity I did with my friends.
I also went to a couple of museums to take pictures. One was the Peterson Automotive Museum. This museum is is located on Wilshire Boulevard along Museum Row in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles. It is one of the world's largest automotive museums. The museum has more than 250 vehicles from all over the world.
Across the street from the Peterson, I visited the The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is the largest museum in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking. The best exhibits there were the Godfather exhibit. They had all the props and costumes from the movies, including the infamous horse head. The museum also had the original Jaws shark and R2D2 from Star Wars.
I hit up the Los Angeles Zoo. My Dad has been pestering the family to go. We haven't been there since I was six. I though it would be a cool place to use my new camera I got for Christmas. Unfortunately half the animals were in hiding because It was so cold.
Additionally this vacationI saw my family at several family parties and gatherings I come from a large, loud family. They are always fun though.
Finally, I started learning how to play the guitar this vacation. This has become a new hobby for me and I really enjoy it. My uncle is in a band. He knows everything about guitars, especially the EVH or Eddie Van Halen Guitars. He has more than 15 guitars and a recording studio at his house.
